Our Story
It started with GaBee.
O’GaBee & Co takes its name from GaBee, a border collie raised by our founder.
Known for their energy, intelligence and determination, border collies reflect the same spirit that has shaped O’GaBee from the beginning: curious, driven and always looking for a better way.
That mindset has guided us from our first Brisbane café to where we are today: sourcing distinctive coffees, experimenting with roast profiles and refining every detail to bring out the best in every bean.
Our Approach
We believe quality is built through every step of the process.
From selecting the right origins and understanding each coffee’s character, to developing roast profiles and refining extraction, we stay closely involved from bean to cup.
Some coffees are bright and expressive. Others are rich, balanced and made to shine with milk. What matters most is that every coffee tastes considered, consistent and genuinely enjoyable.
Award-Winning, but Always Improving
O’GaBee’s coffees have been recognised repeatedly at competitions including Golden Bean Australasia and the Golden Bean World Series, with awards across espresso, milk-based, filter and alternative milk categories.
In 2024, O’GaBee was named World Champion for the first time in the Milk-Based category at the Golden Bean World Series.
For us, those awards are not simply trophies. They are independent recognition of the work behind every roast and motivation to keep experimenting, learning and improving.
